I started a campaign as the Vaulters yesterday, and had no trouble using their Holy Resource ability. Today however, I am unable to assign a holy resource (boost with strategic resource). Previously, mousing over the holy resource would display the same kind of info as a luxury (e.g. units required to boost, boost effect, boost duration) but today there's nothing. The ability is still listed on the Empire screen with the same tooltip blurb, so I assume it was not intentionally removed. Any ideas?

BTW I did get an update when my previous boost (before upgrading to v. 1.0) expired, but there's no option to boost again, as there was previously.

Thanks. I'm enjoying the game, but I'd love my Holy Resource back!

Second the motion. How does one get any boost from strategic resources in the update? And if this no longer works, what's the point of collecting them beyond a little bit for armament and construction?

Hello there,

In the release version of the game I cannot reproduce the issue you describe.

Playing as Vaulters I gathered Titanium and Glassteel and in the empire screen I am able to see in the tooltip of the resources the bosster effects.

I used it and it works well. I even got the notification to reactivate it.

If the problem goes on on your side could you upload a save of your game when the issue occurs?

Here's one of my saves, though greatUnknown seems to be in exactly the same situation. If there's something we can do to migrate our saves to the release version, that would be great. Thanks.

I can reproduce the issue but it seems weird that the current release version does not have the problem.

One question: Did the bug happens at the beginning of your game and remained until end?

One query: Could you try the game on its current version (1.0.0 S3) and see if the issue is still present?

I have Steam set to auto-update the game, so it should be the latest version. The .exe is version 4.5.4.31047 if that helps. I tried it an hour ago and it was the same as before.

I did not have any trouble when the game was in early access, but when I played again yesterday (after release) I was, and am, unable to assign a holy resource.

I have the same problem - started the game as Vaulters in 0.7.4 - and after updating to 1.0.0 i couldnt reboost my "Adamantium Holy Resource". Its no big problem - I probably can win game without it - but it would be good to know what caused it - so with future updates we wont have the same issue.

sadly it is not impossible that starting a game in a previous version, beta state, creates issues. Originally we wanted to forbid continuing games from one version to the next, maybe we should have. I think the best for you is to start a clean game, again I am really sorry.

Hey, it might be user error on my part. How do you pick a vaulter holy resource? I am playing on the MAC version 1.0. I played a quick 100 turns and didn't see any way to chose? Is it a resource later in the game or can I pick glass?

It's not well documented, but you click on it in your Empire screen to boost with it (which it also calls 'assigning') as you would with a luxury. You can do this with any strategic resource.

To select the Holy resource, you have to select a Strategic resource booster, in the same way you select Luxury resource boosters. Once you have selected a Strategic resource booster, it becomes your Holy resource. You can change it when you have no Strategic resource booster active by selecting a new one.
