With the new branch build 0.5.14 released today including the remaining victory conditions, I set out on a quest through the XML files to uncover the specific requirements of each.

However, I have not yet had a chance to actually try the new build, and give no guarantee that these are accurate, and I would appreciate confirmation or correction by a dev.

Score Victory:

We already knew this one. Have the highest score after 300 turns. After 150 turns on fast, 450 on Slow, and 600 on Endless.

Annihilation Victory:

Almost self-explanatory. Be the last empire alive.

Expansion Victory:

Control 80% of all regions.

Economy Victory:

Make a certain amount of Dust. Your entire Dust income through the game is added up, not just your current Dust stock, as far as I can tell.

The value to be reached is 555500 for normal speed on a normal map.

The Following Multipliers apply:

Game Speed

  • Fast: 0.45
  • Normal: 1
  • Slow: 1.7
  • Endless: 2.5

Map Size:

  • Tiny: 0.5
  • Small: 0.75
  • Normal: 1
  • Large: 1.4
  • Huge: 1.8

I'm not sure if those values are applied as separate multiplications, or added/subtracted before being applied to the target value. In the former case, a fat game on a tiny map would require about 125000 Dust, in the latter case only 27775.

Diplomacy Victory:

Gain a certain amount of Influence. Your entire Influence income through the game is added up, not just your current Influence stock, as far as I can tell.

The value to be reached is 77000 for normal speed on a normal map, and the same multipliers as for economic victory apply.

Science Victory:

Research 66 Technologies.

EDIT: Fixed a typo in the version number in the title.

Your calculations hold up for a Diplomacy Victory on small map (small regions, Large Pangea), fast speed:

77000 * .45 * .75 = 25987.5 (PS decimal is a nice touch )

Seem these trigger at 75% of the target. I didn't reach the target by turn 150, but won via score by huge margin...

I;m digging the fast game speed and it feels like a full game. Not sure if it would work on a larger map...

Update the thread title to be correct.

I tried, but it only changes the title of the first post, not the thread. I'm afraid I'll have to wait for a mod to change it.

Has anybody checked to see if the necrophages could get the diplomatic victory? Because that would be hilarious.

That Economy Victory is a tall order. I was trying to get it with Wild Walkers (Fast speed, Small Map) and had 37565.6 out of the required 187481.25 on turn 100. That's with all of the Dust Improvements, trade routes and all workers in 5 cities on Dust production for most of the game. I probably could have optimized for it a bit more, but it wasn't even close.

I was selling off almost everything I produced. Not sure if selling stuff in the Marketplace counts for the total though...

Hivequeens and Gentledrones,

bow to the superior wisdom of the glorious Necrophage diplomats.

Though I guess a diplomatic victory was possible for Cravers in Endless Space, too. They just weren't made for that kind of long-term gameplay. With Necrophage city sprawl, however, Influence is ridiculously easy to gain.

And for this last post is because It hik that the diplomatic victori should be changed and include some specific condition like being in an Alliance a number of turns, be allied with a minumun number of factions or be in an Alliance at the moment you get the necessary influence points.

In ES you can get the diplomatic victory just choosing Easy difficulty anc clicking next turn.

A part from this I'll change a bit the Anihilattion to conquer all capitals or something like this. Everyone knows the Civ sensation of trying to find a Little city on the edge of the map.

Looks like the Science Victory condition was changed to researching six Age 6 techs in 0.5.18. Since we can't get these yet, this is currently impossible but just an FYI.

0.5.18 also disabled the Conquest/Annihilation victory, it seems. I guess they might be trying to force players to try out the other victory conditions.

Hmm, I've gotten several Age 5 techs from quest rewards, I wonder if saving all ruins (and the "reset ruins" research) until you've researched all Age 1-4 techs and then savescumming Ruins rewards would unlock Age 6 stuff eventually...

At least with Age 5 techs, it seems some are in the game, just not "available" just yet. Could be the same for Age 6.
