ENDLESS™ Legend is a turn-based 4X fantasy-strategy game, where you control every aspect of your civilization as you struggle to save your homeworld Auriga. Create your own Legend!
Anyone play Vaulters like this? I used to go tech and dust, but now I am focusing more on Tech and industry. The buy outs seem harder to reach now and industry feels a lot smoother. Tech trees taking away slaves tech messed up the production cuts anyway so it's harder to keep up. I don't feel so in need of water now either.
It's harder to kill off all of the minor factions so that has slowed the exp gain a bit not to mention the new exp gap to level up. Indiana bones to exp buff is definitely needed to get the level 2 army lead, feels impossible to trade damage and get to level 3 on a full army before round 40.
Can't focus on many building if I want to go by force. It's usually food, industry, tech, unit, and equipment. I try to stick to 3-4 buildings only an age and the restart just units and equipment advancement.
First 20 rounds I try to rush to 5 people, then it's industry for buildings and units and then last 5 rounds are rep to max out military and science options. Every 20 rounds goes like that but no more food until winter but just enough to stop starving. Push tech and industry and rep every last 5 rounds. People usually trickle in 2-3 until round 80 or so. Usually start bumping into neighbors and full scale minor faction killing around 60. 60-80 turns is a weird spot. Still working out when to settle a new city or take cities. I like to just borough out my main city for as long as possible. Cities that are taken over just serve as more science pump.
Dust is hard to come by due to sacrificing buyout power for fighting ability. It's hard to work in the market and even when it does find it's place its much later in the game.. Makes getting holy resources more of a pressing matter if their isn't any on your region (there are a lot more this time though it seems) Can't really fit another hero army in till turn 100 since they get so expensive.
How do people feel about the new holy resource? I'm not sure how to feel about it. The bonus is very worth it now but being able to switch it whenever feels a little to powerful and there are good 20% bonuses from each resource that can mess up your battle strength if you want to use them.
How is everyone else adapting to the new vualter demands and mechanics?
Are ardent mages outperforming them in science? Should they?
Still working out when to settle a new city or take cities.
I also like taking different approaches, however I think the biggest obsticle to making concrete evaluations with issues associated with the game is the major faction AI is as Mike Myers would say:
