So your system looks more than adequate to run the game, in terms of OS, hardware etc. 

It seems like a bit install or such.

Can you try verifying your game files, even resinstalling the game? 

Maybe you have a set of options which causes a game generation issue? You could also try to reset to the default options, by deleting the entire "My Documents/Endless Space 2" directory?

Just for the record have you tried to play in Fullscreen, Borderless Window and Windowed to see if it changes anything?

It seems we were able to reproduce the issue, so we'll keep you posted if we need anything more. 

Question from the 3D engineers: For each of you, do you get:

- All portraits missing, or just a few. Do you get the tutorial portraits or windows?

- Do you see ships in ship design?

Since you seem to say you're running the game on a 1280x720 resolution, have you tried the UI setting named "SD 1280x720"?
