Battles - need changes

Last my game (at normal difficulty) I win about 20-30 battles in a row with 6 cruisers against full packs of enemies without losing a single ship!

Yes, it was AI, but AI not very stupid here. Some battles i won was when i attacked star with 3-4 full enemy packs of ships. Some with many ships in hangar.

They suicidely attacked me all pack by pack during one (!) turn because AI thought what his fleets were stronger (and really most of AI's ships packs had more MP than mine, so formally they were stronger) but anyway I won every battle without lose any ship and even without losing HP. Ridiculous!

Why I won so easily?

I think it was because i had:

1. Very good admiral (started with lvl 12-14 and gets 20 lvl quick)

2. Right fit, which enemy can't fight (for example, they was armed with kinetic turrets and some missiles, i put many points in kinetic defense and some in anti-missile too, plus i got 6 cruisers with much HP and many missiles and some kinetic turrets. This fit was made when i already knows how most AI's ships equipped, they done little damage to me, i did uch to them)

3. Battle ability used my admiral which gets +25% hp every turn, i used it first 2 turns what give me chance not lose any hp first 2 battle turns and last turn used hp repair to get fully repaired at the battle end, so i was prepared to next battle inside turn.



My resume about these are:

1. Admirals now have very strong military powers, esspetially passive. One admiral can win all game. This is bad for balance. Their military abilities have to be cut off and levels need to be get much slower. By the way, civilian hero get levels much slower now and get 4-8 lvl when my military gets 20th, this is not right.

2. Game need an option to quick refit ships at hangar to reconfigure ships against enemy fleet. I dont know how quick it have to be (same turn, one or more), but we really need it because even if two real players meet in such case one cant do anything with his not old, but wrong fitted fleet(s).

3. Maybe have to cut of battle abilities but I'm not sure have to test it after first to changes done.

I fully believe that the combat system needs to be expanded upon to make the game feel entertaining in the long run. It is just too major a fact of gameplay for it to lack such depth. I have started two threads for the discussion of my ideas for combat and I am eagerly seeking some feedback.

Also, if you have better technologies, they can't do anything against you...
