Would be nice to be able to stay in certain eras. I know this has been a thing asked about a long time ago, so I thought I put it back in the discussion. It wouldn't really require much change, as the turns would still define the ending and having more stars per era would slow down the changes and give a chance for a higher score. We can also get score in other ways. Just a thought.

Oh and if anyone knows a mod that does this, that would be awesome.

Yes, I feel that playing on the slowest speed is still too fast. Less than 100 turns per era if you want to keep pace with the leading AI. As i said earlier, the main reason I would like an era lock feature is to be able to play vs AI at a similar level as myself. I want to see swordsmen vs swordsmen, then knights vs knights, etc. The main concern people had was that the science affinity means those cultures would be a full tech era ahead during that time.

So I guess I'll put it in the ideas section and see what happens.

Yeah good point. While turning off the science affinity from getting the next tech tree shouldn't be too hard to put in, they would have some draw backs once everyone catches up to them. I wonder how the balance would effect them
