Hi, I signed up for your mailing list regarding HUMANKIND, and the website said please click the link in the email we just sent in order to finish your registration. I quickly got an email with a subject "Thank you for joining us" and several social media links, and a link to wishlist on Steam, but nothing that obviously is linked to the website for signing up for the in-game promotion. It seems like I've signed up for a mailing list, but there was no actual confirmation link allowing me to verify I used my own actual email address. Where's the beef?

I still have this problem. I signed up for the newsletter and got an E-Mail with lots of links, but nothing like a verification link. And there was no evidence for receiving the in-game present and I did not recveive any games2gether badge.

Could you confirm if this still is not resolved or if it is a problem on my side?

As of now, there is no verification, provided that you received the e-mail you will have the in-game reward.

Yes, my son and i got the same thing. Just a mail., no verification link included. Only link in the mail was to add Humankind to Your steam wishlist.
