Just finished another play through when I noticed that if you take a unit and hover over it, the fog of war become opaque enough to see curiosities through the fog.  it's not game breaking or anything, but thought you may want to know that. Not sure if you can scroll around the map to see them all or not, but the one I seen wasn't too far from where the encounter was. 

There have been a few minor issues with fog of war reported in other threads. That code needs to be looked at.
