Lots of Wasted Space In City View

This is what the City View looks like on my screen at turn 22 (1440p Monitor and resolution).  I've barely unlocked anything in the game, and already I've got a pretty large scroll bar (on the most compact view mode) for constructible items.  I can imagine it being very frustrating to browse this in the future with such a tiny little window to display constructible.

My thoughts on a solution would be to significantly constrict the construction area:

The "currently constructing" item doesn't need to be so big.  You can shrink that down and put the buyout/trash buttons underneath it.  Then you can move the name up to the blue bar, and the progress bar to the bottom.  Finally, move the queue above the progress bar and shrink them down.

Also: moving the filter buttons into a single line or up onto the same level as the "constructions" title.

I'm not a UI design expert, so maybe this winds up with things looking too cluttered, but something *has* to be done, because the current construction menu is incredibly cramped for browsing.

Can you adjust the scroll view's height? The biggest issue right now is that scrollable area is pretty short. Extending the length would probably make a big difference. That, and having the option to collapse the construction queue.

I agree that some UI elements are too large in comparison to others in the city build screen, the queue especially seems overly large, and less functional than other titles - I haven't yet figured out how to buy items further in the queue other than de-queueing and insta-buying anew through the buyout toggle.

My main issue with the City menu right now is how small the scrollable area is. I like to play with the images of the constructions instead of the grid view (because otherwise you don't get to appreciate the art as much!) and you can only fit 2 rows in the scrollable area. Expanding that would be great for the user experience in my opinion.

I agree with moving some things in the queue, and also moving the city info to the center bar. Not sure exactly where to place the status bar yet.

That's kind of what I'd had in mind.  That's plenty of room for the list of construable items

Yea the city view, selected units view and battle view all take up way too much space and show way too little information. They need to be made more compact.

Agreed with those above, the city construction pane is brutally bad.  Also, mine seems to be worse than those I'm seeing streamers play with.  In the item mode it only shows one row of 4 options without scrolling, even if I reduce the size of the interface.  Scrolling up and down to see what all my options are is frustrating and annoying and the only really bad experience I'm having with this game.  It needs to be improved.
