I was playing only the Africa DLC cultures until the Medieval Era, then went with Ghanaians. At turn 166, Turn Pending would not go off. Went back to autosave of turn 164, continued playing a couple more turns, and then at turn 166, same thing happened. Turn Pending went forever on turn 166. Let it continue to run with the game iconified. After about 1 hour came back and devices drivers were not working for mouse and keyboard that I have plugged in via USB-C hub. Had to restart to get system stable again.
