The system adopted in Endless Legend is good but it feels like players doesn't have any control over their units because it is impossible except for very good players to predict everything that is going to happen during a battle-turn.

The best way to resolve this would be to make a full-manual mode in which the player will not give the orders at the start of the turn but will give the order of each unit only when each unit will be allowed to move through the initiative system.

Also it should be an option at the start of the battle so that people that want to play fast games in multiplayer don't see it as an annoyance.
