As for the mic, yeah, I used to be super shy about my French accent, but now I always play coop/mp games using my mic (even though I apparently sound like a 12 year old little boy).

My voice is so deep, I apparently sound like a forty-year-old creep.

Unless it's the secret room on Aperture. That room takes soooo long to weld/unweld. If you have at least one other person with you, you can just hide behind the door at about 2% strength (this door is literally 100 times stronger than other doors) and when there's a million zombies outside one person unwelds the door and the rest of them unleash all fury. Although you probably won't get into the door until late in the game (with two players, one a level 2 support specialist, it took us till round 7 to finally bust the damn thing open).

Practice, practice! I was garbage at the game when I started now, now I'm the one who survives longest on most of the Normal servers I join. You don't get better by not trying!

I really like KF, but found it hard to jump in and have a good time. The only way to play this is with a few friends on voice chat/in person it seems imo. If you can always swing that, than this game would be awesome.

I always have at least one friend with me, if no friends of mine are online I won't even play. I don't always play on voice chat; it's a very handy touch but not necessary for a good time.

I actually have Toki Tori, from an old Humble Bundle. I still have no clue what the game was about. It was like Banjo Kazooie while high.

What'd you find inside that door? I got KF the day it was released. Still remember back then there was a funny custom-made theater map with super doors. Behind it was bunch of money that re-spawned every wave.

Shamelessly endorsing all kinds of games of other genres, but does anyone else here play/have an interest in Killing Floor?

I bought a bundle for me and one for the missus, quite frankly they were worth every penny. Almost 11 hours straight gameplay and I can tell you, it's not perfect, but it's a damn good time, and we couldn't even go on Normal difficulty without dying yet.

Playing solo is far more difficult than playing with friends. Actually yeah, I played once on my own, welded a door and locked myself in a room. Worst idea ever. The zombies were all trying to get to me and I had absolutely no way to escape! As for the mic, yeah, I used to be super shy about my French accent, but now I always play coop/mp games using my mic (even though I apparently sound like a 12 year old little boy).

Were you the host? If so, you need to open a bunch of ports to get it to work (I think 6). If you've ever tried running a Minecraft or Terraria server you'll know what I'm talking about. So yes, it is your router's problem; you need to configure your router to let you run a Killing Floor server. If you weren't the host, then maybe Killing Floor is being blocked by your router's firewall.

There should be a solution. The Killing Floor section of the Steam forums seems very active - you might solve your issue by simply asking!

You will probably die in the Zombies apocalypse.

It's got a bit more depth than that, my friend. That looks more like Nazi Zombies to me (barely even at that rate) and Killing Floor is far, far more interesting from a design perspective.

And the graphics are oh, so, pretty.
