Yup, a clock. You guys are good, I spent weeks stumping some of my friends with these smiley: stickouttongue

@Nos: True...But, now that you brought that up, people will be thinking of bats, so any riddle that might have bats as an answer would be too obvious now smiley: stickouttongue

Gah, yup. No coins were dated 24 B.C. While they did have coins, they didn't consider the year as that. Plus, speaking from a Roman's perspective, I don't think they even put the year on their coins.

A woman has 7 children, half of them are boys. How can this be possible?

If all of them would be boys, both halves of them would be. Since you didn't specify that the other half aren't boys - that could be it?

This was my guess, too, but I'm not sure yet *returns to thinking* lol

That's right. All of them are boys. smiley: wink Now...Eh, back to rhyming, why not?

Alive as you but without breath,

As cold in my life as in my death;

Never a thirst though I always drink,

Dressed in a mail but never a clink.

What am I?

Yup. Okay, these don't seem to be tricking many people ^^;; Probably another easy one here...

If a south bound electric train is travelling west at a rate of 70 miles per hour and the wind is blowing to the north at 35 miles per hour, which way will the smoke blow?

Why would a south bound rain be going west? Why would an electric train blow smoke?

I'm so confused...

*let adder insert "impossibru" meme here*

Nice trick, might work when told, but not when being able to re-read it smiley: biggrin

Sorry, the southbound going west was a typo on my part. And the electric train blowing smoke was the point smiley: stickouttongue Adder got the answer. I figured that one would be a bit too easy...I'm out of riddles now though, or any good ones anyway.

If you're running out, I'll try again:

As long as it is out of time,

it is bright, but you won't hear it,

it is hot, but you won't feel it,

it is loud, but already gone...

And if it is in time,

you'll hear no more,

feel no more,

see no more

and you're gone.

Maybe in and out of time are rather bad descriptions, but this should still be easy enough to solve. smiley: wink

Me, stepping on a Landmine ? You described the explosion ?

Actually, landmines are more of a guarantee for you to get maimed, than to be dead. It is not what I meant, but it is a possible explanation, if there are more people about that are stepping around in the minefield. smiley: wink
