In the past it had to be Avatar the Last Airbender, I never got to watch every single episode when i was younger but I have achieved that goal now.

Right now for me it has to be Cowboy Bebop and Adventure Time.

There was one series I vaguely remember which was called G force also went under the name battle of planets. I later learned that I was a Japanese originally and was called Gatchaman. The main baddie in the Japanese version could change sex at will. In the US/English version that changed it to that he had a sister.

Other Cartoons I like.

Tom and Jerry

Bugs Bunny

Ghost in the Shell.

Hmm:

Battleship Yamomoto in Arabic in the early 80's.

Robotech in the mid to late 80's.

Maison Ikkoku in the early to mid 90's.

Akira always.

Anything and everything by Miyazaki since I first saw Nausicaa in Japanese.

CUrrently, I do not have a favorite, but the last thing that I saw that blew me away was Samurai Champloo and Gurran Lagan.

My all time favorite is Batman: The Animated Series (ca. 1992-1995).

Currently, I consider Adventure Time the best thing on television.

Anything classic 90s Disney (or classic Donald Duck for me) - Disney was (still is to a degree) a huge deal in Scandinavia. We've got a weekly comic with the characters as well as bi-monthly paperback books. smiley: redface

This has got to be my favourite one of all time - They air it every christmas eve as part of a "Disney christmas card" show thing. And have done so since I was born. smiley: mrgreen

Unfortunately, I'm stuck in a tough situation. I have to chose between Thomas "the most useless" Steam Engine, Curious "Oh Gooooooood" George and Dinosaur "love this show" Train.

I prefer Dinosaur Train and Classical Seasame Street. Oh yea, Miyazaki Movies.

Power Rangers is one of the longest running series in Japan. I think they started in Late 60's/early 70's

Was never really into cartoons, but there is one which got my attention and that is South Park.

When I was a kid I mostly watched manga like Dragon Ball, Saint seya, and series like Robocop or The Renegade.

I liked a lot the generic of Bob Moran though, both french and international version are cool.

Why not? Isn't anime just an animated series? Also, I'm pretty sure 'Pokemon' is considered an anime.

Right now it would be Avatar: The Last Air Bender but my favourite from my childhood? Damn, that's a hard one. I suppose it really changed from year to year. The first I can remember loving was the transformers series where they were dinosaurs, then it would have been Beyblades for about 2 years, they YuGiOh and then I didn't really watch many cartoons for a few years and that brings us up to the present favourite.

Everyone one here was a child as some point, and at some point you watched cartoons(most of you anyway). These animated shows have always been a constant thing in the world and they are always changing, yet some people still watch them(like me smiley: biggrin). Please post what your favorite cartoon as a child was or what your favorite is now.

Mine is the show Ed, Edd n, Eddy. smiley: approval Hand drawn and very funny while being the most succesful cartoon on Cartoon Network.

Transformers was the best cartoon ever. Or so I thought until I watched some old episodes last year. Holy CRAP that show did not age well. It's better in my memory.

Plus, Transformers: The Movie (the cartoon, not the Bayhem) was the first movie my folks let me see in the theatre by myself. So more good memories there.

Well, it changed over the years. So I'm not so sure about what counts as childhood.

Maya the Bee, Ducktales, Alfred J. Kwak, Wickie, The Smurfs, Ghostbusters, Rockos modern Life, Sailor Moon, The Simpsons all at some point of my Childhood were my favourite.

I think the longest time (that still counts as childhood) it was The Smurfs.

The Rocko/Sailor Moon/The Simpsons-Era I would consider more of youth than childhood.
