Lookin good, needs a bit of clean up but the information looks solid as far as I can tell. I also made a steam guide for characters, so if you just want to split the workload on items and characters we could probably save a lot of time.

Good job! I guess you'll add pictures later. Well, I can't really help you in the project himself but I can translate it in good french if you want.

I hope this isn't considered too impolite when the offer was made to another guide (of course, I don't really think guides should be considered as competing in any case), but if you are interested in translating (and have the time) I would welcome a translation of my own beginner's guide (found below). I am learning French, but I do not have much proficiency and so a translation would facilitate my own learning, as well as hopefully make the game more accessible to people who would prefer to learn in a language other than English. This, of course, assumes you find value in the guide, though if you don't I'd also welcome any feedback as to how you think it might be improved smiley: smile

Good! Actually, I'm not at home but I come back at the end of the week, I'll see what I can add to your guide. I forgot: happy new year for you, the other members of the forum and the Amplitude's crew!

I wrote a few lines as helpful tips, someone might be able to use.. (any corrections/clarifications welcome)

1) Only open doors in single paths as much as possible, so you have to defend across chokepoints.

2) Power as many rooms as you can, because opened dark rooms are sources of enemy waves

3) Use the fastest hero you have as the door opener, so they can leg it back to a defensive position.

4) Defend your main chokepoint with turrets (defense boosts, healing units etc), and the beefiest, hardest hitting heroes

5) always save 30+ bio resource to pick up new heroes as you come across them - till you get the full complement of 4

6) Once you have 4 heroes, use bio to level them up, high attackers first - keeping a reserve of 20+ to use emergency manual heals (costs 5).

7) Buy from merchants sparingly - because the dust is used to power your rooms. You'll find loot for free, and you need lit rooms rather than dark enemy spawning ones.

8) dead-end/cul-de-sac module rooms off your killing path, don't need any defensive structures (unless they have dark open rooms attached to them).

9) Before opening a new door, move all your heroes to a module room, you'll boost resource production. Once the enemies attack move them swiftly to your defensive chokepoints. (Heroes add points to

resource collection if they are in a module room when the door is open, some can even repair modules and structures during an attack!)

10) Its the doors you don't open that are the important ones.

Finally, for your crystal run, plot the fastest path possible, then power all the rooms around that path, and darken ones far off the path, get your speedy door opener/runner to do the crystal humping, and get the others to stand in a chokepoint along the way - hopefully thinning out the hordes. Use Bio to keep them all alive for the next level.

There is also the wiki that we created a while ago (to get the admin rights and be able to revert changes if a spam appears) but didn't have much time to work on it: http://dungeon-of-the-endless.wikia.com/

We helped players contributing to the Endless Space wiki a little while ago and we liked it so much that we decided to add a link to it in game. I'd love to see this happen with DotE as well but it'll be up to you! You can all help and add content and if some of you seem to be very active, we'll see how we can reward you (forum award?) or give you moderator rights! And of course, if you need art, refer to this thread or let us know.

Just to add to that: a hero's "WITS" affect by how much they will boost resource production in the room they are working. The game will, if more than one hero is in the room, automatically assign the one with highest wits to the module. So if you have two heroes with good speed, don't just use th one with a couple more Speed points for the doors, but first make sure there isn't some significant Wits trade-off.

Just a few minor spelling typos I noticed whilst reading:

1)In the section "The Crystal: Levelling Your Crystal:" The second line you say evlel instead of level

2) Same section as above but under "Exiting" you wrote "When you fine hte exit" Just correct that to the

3) Under "Characters" section you misspelled constant as cosntant in the last sentence

4) "Psycologically" is used instead of psychologically in Hikensha's bio

5) In Max O'Kane's bio you accidentally put "profit rom" instead of profit from

6) Random 4 in the word "yell" in Nurse Deena Ratchet's bio

7) Sara Numas' bio has abounty not spaced out, "escrot" instead of escort, "troublesoime" instead of troublesome, it says "prisoner ot Auriga" (I cannot remember if it is of or at), "dissapeaered when hte ship went down" instead of

disappeared when the ship went down

8) Troe Pekenyo's bio: ot -> to. boensn -> Bones(?). htem -> them

9) "Devices: Battlefield Injector" greem-> green

10) "Armor: T-shirt" high-qaulity -> high-quality

11) "Armor: Tutu" ahve -> have

12) "Weapons: Sonic Gun" Just capitalise the "green" as the other rarities are

13) "Melee Weapons" coem -> come

14) "Blueprints" blueprintss -> blueprints

15) "Strategies + Tips: Fourth Bullet Point" as tyou rush hte crystal -> as you rush the crystal

These are all the ones I have seen reading it. They may only be small and not really effect the guide but I thought you might find it useful to have them pointed out smiley: biggrin
