Look like it will be sort of Tech tree, but we don't really know at this time.

@Predateur701: It’s an error! We didn’t update the road map yet, but the "tech tree" (bad name) is the current science system. We will obviously iterate to improve it but we don’t plan on adding another system smiley: wink

Is it intentional that in research you can skip levels?

For example I was offered to research Food module t3 when I was still at t1. Industrial t4 when I was at t2.

I actually was curious about the same thing.

Level 1-3 commonly happens and if you get it and it's for an useful module, it's really tempting as it not only saves time but also science-points.

That creates more diversity in the choices and in the development of a game!

I liked it. Sometimes, I'd get an expensive option to "jump" a level, and I'd take it, even if the item wasn't ideal for my current situation, because I knew it would be a worthwhile long-term investment.
