Hmmm, so everytime I load, I get the error "Public Folder Modified" "The "Public" folder of Dungeon of the Endless has been modified. Achievements will not be recorded during this session. "



I seem to be able to unlock characters, but nothing in the journal updates, and it makes me sad. I didn't modify anything. Installed the game, and started it, and gave me that error first time.



Any ideas or is this somewhere in another thread I didn't see?

You aren't the only one with this problem, but it seems the devs haven't been able to figure it out yet.

I don't know if it'll help, since you got this error from the initial install, but I've fixed that message before by deleting and re-downloading the Public folder.



You can find the Public folder at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dungeon of the Endless\Public



After you delete/move the Public folder, you'll want to verify the integrity of the game cache in Steam.



Dungeon of the Endless > Properties > Local Files > Verify...

This fixed it. I had verified multiple times before, but apparently just deleting it made it download and fix the public folder.
