I really love this game but one part I think really could be better is part where you move the crystal to the exit. Having the end part being more of a challenge would really add variety to the game but 99% of the time it's incredibly easy. You can usually power a safe path that lets you avoid all the monsters, even if you have to stick some heroes in unpowered rooms or put down a few neurostuns.



One solution to this I think could work would be to add Pits to some rooms. Pits would be deep black holes in the floor that take the place of major module locations. A Pit would simply allow monsters to spawn in that room even if it was powered or a hero is in it once the crystal has been moved. This would give players something to worry about when they move the crystal, even if they have enough dust to create a safe path. It could be easily dealt with by adding a few modules or heroes but it would be something to worry and prevent every dash to the exit from being the same.
