Hello everyone,



We wanted to answer some of your most common and sometimes delicate questions. For the ones who don’t already know us, we definitely will do our best to be as transparent as possible. In this FAQ we will cover questions that are not related to game design.





UPDATES



How often are you going to update the game?

Before the release, we are aiming to update content roughly once every two weeks. Minor patches for fixing bugs will come as often as needed.







Roadmap available?

We are working on it; we will probably deliver something through our forums first (I hope before Christmas).







SUPPORT



Where can I report bugs? How shall I proceed?

The best for us is if you post them on our forums, through the dedicated sub-forum or the Steam Discussions.





More resolutions planned?

We have nothing planned on that regard, so I doubt that we’ll change it. But we agree that we could look at a simple windowed mode.





Fonts too small

We were discussing it following some of your comments on the forums. We will definitely look into it. We have already done it for our other game, Endless Legend.





Will we be able to rebind the keys?

We’ll look into it. In the meantime, you can modify, at your own risk, the shortcuts in Registry.xml (Steam > SteamApp > common > DotE > Public). Use this list: https://docs.unity3d.com/Documentati...e/KeyCode.html to add / remove keys (you can write several keycodes with spaces between them).







GAME



What is the game about?

You were aboard a Prison ship that was attacked when it entered orbit around the planet Auriga. After escaping the burning ship in a small pod, you ended up crashing through an ancient ruin and found yourself deep below the surface of Auriga. The environment is extremely hostile and you must get out, using all of your wits and with the help of friends you make along the way. Some of these friends, however, may turn out to be your biggest nightmares...



So how will you survive, and will the next door you open be the last one?





Is a story planned?

We will deploy more interactions between the heroes so you can discover more about their relationships and about what happened before the ship got shot down. There is a story – maybe several – behind every hero in the game…





Will there be voice over, more game sounds and dialogs?

There will be more game sounds, music and dialogs. We are not currently planning to have voice over due to cost, size, and complexity reasons.











MISC



Steam CD keys

The keys that will pop up when you launch your game are for the Amplitude Studios website. You need to create an account and redeem them on your profile: they will unlock forums awards and G2G points. Please visit the FAQ on our website.





Why two editions of DotE? Why should I support you?

Some of our most dedicated players have asked how they can help us to keep creating the games they like to play, or how they can support our games for as long as we keep making them.



We pay a lot of attention to every aspect of the game: Game design, narration, art style, sound, music or simply quality and stability. All of this has a cost, and the more support we get from you guys the more we can invest in all these different facets. The more we can do that, the better the chances are that we can reach the level of quality that will make the game experience truly unique.



Will the Vaulters be available as a separate DLC for ES?

At this point the Vaulters were meant to be for our DotE early supporters as a bonus for helping us. Still, we will make them available to all Endless Space players sometime down the road (only if you own Disharmony, of course).



Who made the soundtrack? When and where will it be available?

The soundtrack is made by FlyByNo, the musician behind the incredible Endless Space music. We will make the music available for download when the game reaches gold.



Plans to release an iOS/Android version?

The game is now available on iPad, but not on Android. We don't plan to port it to that platform at the moment but we might consider. There are however no plans to release it to mobiles.
