Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ is a Rogue-Like Dungeon-Defense hybrid game, in which your team of heroes must protect the generator of their crashed ship while finding their way out!
I'd really like to see the characters make comments (in text) on room events, item acquisition, combat, leveling, building, and character deaths based on their personalities.
Also, some random banter when two characters are standing in a room while your scout is pushing ahead (this is how other people play, right? :confused.
Seconded. It'll make losing a character all the more tragic... Muahahahah! I think one of the things a lot of the 'new' roguelikes miss is thinking that permadeath was the great appeal - which makes me think most folks didn't actually play many roguelikes. Ah, the days of hearing monsters in Hengband yell indecipherable text at me, or flavor text for *Cubi in Nethack... It's lore and immersion that make a good roguelike; Moria (Game) was built up around the idea of exploration after all... Rambling, anyway, I really like this idea...
