Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ is a Rogue-Like Dungeon-Defense hybrid game, in which your team of heroes must protect the generator of their crashed ship while finding their way out!
One of the first things to occur to me when first play was that it would be neat to be able to inspect all the bits of wreckage/machinery/corpses/etc for some flavor text or lore. Endless Space was pretty good at this, so I'm sure you could make all sorts of interesting bits of text for what the blue glowy things do, or how that dead guy probably got dead.
I actually had an idea running around in my head with this context in it. Maybe when a Hero opens up a room, on the lower part of the sweet, a thing bar pops up with text describing the situation, the room, and other current events. For example, "Sara Numas quickly passes the dark corridors, opens the door, and yet again, hostile creatures are behind it." or "Max O'kane has discovered a new room, in it, he sees large test tubes with green slime inside of them, what kind of terrible experiments happened in here?" Stuff like this would add more lore and immersion to the gameplay.
