I have spent a lot of time in Multiplayer--This means I've come upon some annoying bugs and glitches. But this one--This is by far one of the worst bugs I have encounters.



In Multiplayer, when attempting to add items into my own inventory, if any of the other players' inventory is full, most of the time I will receive an error message saying "Your backpack is full." This glitch is spontaneous and random; sometimes my buddies' inventories will be filled and I can put things into mine; but most of the time, if there inventory is full, there is nothing that I can do about it; sometimes shifting items out of there's into mine will 'fix' it, but then we usually end up having to leave some items behind when we leave the floor.



This bug has been, several times, game-ending when we run into it; not being able to sell for extra industry, food, science, or the all-important dust is a soul-crushing bug to run into. I would truly appreciate some sort of net-code fix for this, because I run into it every single game I play in multiplayer.

Steph'nie is this truly a bug or is the intent to only allow 4 items in a backpack (like the single player game)? Therefore if there are 4 items in the non-shared inventory already you would always receive this message. I would like to know.

Yes, it's a bug. It shouldn't be the case.

xD bug of backpack death

I would like to complete this thread with some Bugs that I met in Multiplayer with inventory system.



_The first one: I cannot trade item between the inventory and my backpack without equipping it to my heroes at first,

and if my heroes cannot equip this type of item I just can't move this item at all.



_The second one: ITEM SWAPPING! For example i see item "A... thing" and "Surviving Kit" in inventory but my friend

see "Surviving Kit" and "A... thing". The item effect match well with what each players sees. (my "A... thing" work

like a "A... thing" for me but work like a "Surviving Kit" for my friend, ETC...)

This can happen with more than 2 items.



_The last one: I don't know if its multiplayer only, but in Infirmary Pod i can find a "Sandvich" device with HP regen

that make the run so easy and break the Infirmary Pod gameplay.

Oh sorry, I forgot to mention this!



I play on the Steam version.

There are some workarounds for this, a bit annoying but it will allow you to work through this bug.



As soon as either player gets the Backpack Full, save and quit the session, then quit the game. Both players need to do this. You can then load the save up and continue.



Also, if you double click items from the shared inventory (swapping onto active character) while this error is occuring, then save and fully quit, you can do item duplication. I haven't worked that out exactly yet, but if you see the desynced icons like Sa10shi described in second item, you're on the right track.
