Dungeon of the ENDLESS™ is a Rogue-Like Dungeon-Defense hybrid game, in which your team of heroes must protect the generator of their crashed ship while finding their way out!
Hey, first of all, I really like the multiplayer and it is really fun playing together with some friends, but... without exaggerating I played around 20 multiplayer games and the best results was around floor 6 before a connection issue for me or some other player occured. I think it's really a compliment for the game to play that much games with the knowledge of having a disconnect after a while, but now I will wait for a patch. The funniest result was: lost connection after opening the FIRST door on floor 1
I will describe my observations, maybe it will help you for improving:
- In general, if you have a slow internet connection (got about 2 mbit download) there are many many desyncs, especially with a slow upload (probably 0.5 mbit...) if you hosting a game...
- If all heros are in the exit room and the one with the crystal finishes the game, this is not happening for all players. Sometimes we had to wait about ONE minute till all players "really" finished the floor (so, 1 player is still fighting while the others are already in the score screen.. DESYNC!). If you load the next floor without waiting for all players to be in sync, the "Watining for other players..." will be forever... (or the player just loses the connection and is missing on the next floor)
- If there is a short ping peak, the player get kicked immediately. Please deactivate this "feature" or at least give the player some more chances..
- I play together with my brother (same connection) and we observered that only one of us is able to chose a hero at the beginning (the player who connects first). I think there are some issues if you have the same IP, because this occurs everytime and all other players have no problem. Maybe I should say that we play in total with 3 players and this problem occurs if another one opens a game and my brother and me join afterwards (the third player (and so the second player with the same IP) cant chose a hero).
Based on my observations, I think the host sends all updates to the players. I wonder if you could optimize this? I mean, even with only a 15kb/s upload it should be no problem?? Maybe you finde some ways to cache some more information or reduce the update rate. The most important aspect is the desync issue. Maybe there should be a short stop to get insync with everyone, even if it slows down the game.

This is happening all the time in MP now. You end up with the "waiting for other players... 100%" screen and don't quite know what's happened.
My connection is average to good (1 megabyte per second at best, so about 8mbps). Pings are ok, but not wonderful.
I totally agree. I was disconnected from a MP game with friends yesterday, while waiting in the lobby to Lv.11. We never came that far and accordingly was our disappointment. As already suggested in other topics, a rejoin feature would be very helpful!
