Hi all,



I know that in Endless Legends there have been complaints that the Emperor version is incompatible with the base version of the game. I really have loved my time with DoTE, and would upgrade to the Crystal pack in a heartbeat, but play a lot of multiplayer with friends so would NOT do so if it meant that I could no longer do that.



Does anyone have experience playing across the two versions? Mods/AMplitude folks, do you know if this is an issue?

Hmm, Emperor and Classic pack owners can play together: they own the same game. Actually, if Classic pack owners play with a host who owns the Emperor pack, they also get access to the exclusive content for the duration of the game.

Same as above. There should be no issue caused by this.

Oh, my fault -- I checked the forums again, it seems to be the Founder pack that is causing some people headaches in combination with Emperor in EL. (/#/games2gether/forum/84-general/thread/19332-community-bonus-clasic-pack-content.)

Actually, the Founder was the old name of the Emperor pack. Changing its name, after the Early Access, created an issue with the app IDs on Steam, so players who purchased the upgrade were not receiving the extra content. The issue has been resolved since! (There was nothing related to the multiplayer though, if I remember correctly)
