Opened a large door to a room but I couldn't enter with any character - I wasn't able to open any other doors as this was the only room left unexplored at this point in the run.

I had only opened 4-5 rooms previous to starting on this floor - I could see into the room but couldn't enter, all the textures looked half loaded / rendered.

Once the enemy wave started I could then enter the room.
