I beat the game at least once and still cant seem to unlock the first blob entry, even though I unlocked the 5 others, including the boss. I beat the core at least once and it is the only entry missing from the monster codex.

I can confirm this is true for me too. The first blob entry is still listed as "?" in the archive. I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be the monsters that keep splitting into two each time you kill them. I must have killed hundreds by this point.
