Step by step of the bug
Step 1
Have a character with multiple hero chips slot unlocked
Step 2
Equip multiple hero chips to this character
Step 3
Connect to a host who has less slot unlocked for this character
Step 4
Lunch a run with this character
Step 5
Open the game menu
Step 6
Observe that the character only have the number of hero chips of the host instead of the client
Step 7
Be frustrated because you can't use the chips you unlocked

When I joined the lobby of my friend, I can select the hero chips I want in the saloon, but when we enter the dungeon, I opened the menu and the number of chips slot I got depends of the number of chips slot the host unlock for my character.
For example I unlock 2 slots for bunker, I go to one host who unlock only one slot, I get only the first chips I equipped during the run. I go to another host who didn't unlock any slot for bunker, I get none of the chips I equipped in the lobby.
It is really really frustrating
