Which stuff from the first game you would love/hate seeing come back from Dungeon of the Endless to Endless Dungeon and which stuff would you want to see improved upon?


For me the biggest is a higher focus on the Rogue-lite tag. In the first game you only could unlock ships and characters but nothing more. No progression towards different Modules and no different chambers to be unlocked through special achievments and the sort, only the standard "Win and you get a different ship" (which is basically a sort of modifier) and "You survive with a character and you get it". A certain game has spiced up and frankly redefined what a roguelite could be and I'd love to see how Endless Dungeon could evolve borrowing some of those special ideas.


Would love to hear what you have to say and see if we could start some kind of discussion and debate. I'm really hyped for this game and seeing what it could be is awesome.

I'd love to see some returning characters - DOTE characters seem completely forgotten in the endless universe, and I really hope they improve the map overview screen, I feel it didn't give enough information and made it cumbersome to control multiple characters in different rooms without pausing a lot

To be fair, in a real-time-with-pause game, you're expected to pause a lot (except in the one module where you can't, but that's purposefully hard mode).

Multiplayer felt like somewhat of an afterthought, especially given all the problems people reportedly still have with it, so I don't really count that as a factor for DotE.


Now, this new game, I'm very interested in how it's supposed to control, and if it will still even have a pause button.  Not to mention how much of the map you can actually see at one time - we might actually need a map screen this time around.

There are a lot of rogue-lites I've played recently, so I'm not certain which one you are speaking of, but I never liked the way some of them do progression by having you slowly unlock small bonuses until you are finally strong enough to actually win, through no fault of your own (Hades, notably, is very much about grinding for darkness so you can start with more survivability, at least until you actually git gud).  I do suppose unlockable modules would be nice, but it did have ships locked behind special achievements - it just also let you unlock them by beating a previous module, usually.

That is the inherent danger with joke characters. It is hard to use them in the serious stuff.

It can't be an Endless game without OpBot. He is in each single one of them.

I think we would have legal grounds to sue if OpBot isn't in this one.

I felt DotE didn't have enough progression unlocks to keep most engaged so hopfully there is some skin's or somthing to keep people for the long con. I'd love this game however it comes out honestly though.

What about including chef nanor(MVP) in the game. He is the most powerfull character in the hole game and deserve a new story line.
