First of all I wanted to thank you for taking your team on checking this small guide on how to report bugs. This helps us a lot in our process of finding potential new bugs and fixing them.

Here is the list of Known Issues for this build


EXAMPLE

  • Title: Devices do not show a cost when buying
  • Description: Inspecting a Device at a merchant does not display any Food Cost, though food is taken when bought
    -> Attachments: As a rule of thumb, always include Saves and Diagnostic Files. But the team might require you more files.

  • Steps to Reproduce: 1. Explore until you encounter a merchant, 2. Inspect any device on offer
  • Expected Behavior: Devices should show the price before purchasing


1. Thread Title


If you're making a new thread, the title of your thread should be short and descriptive.

Please only add to a thread if you believe you have run into the same bug, otherwise start a new thread.


2. Bug description


The bug description is here to provide as much information and details as possible about the issue you encountered: Please describe in detail what you were doing before the issue, and what happened when you noticed the problem. Make sure to include any relevant information (for example Era, culture, map size/settings, game speed, single/multiplayer, etc), and use specific names where possible ("Bronze Working, Irrigation" for example).


You can consider the bug description as a way to clear any ambiguity in your summary. Any additional notes should go here too.


3. Attachments /!\


Don't forget to attach useful files if you feel like they are relevant.

  • Save files
    • C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Endless Dungeon\Save Files
  • Diagnostic files+ Network Diagnostics: These files need to be compressed as a zip or rar file or the upload will fail! 
    • Located by default in: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Endless Dungeon\Temporary Files
  • Seed number:

    You can find the Seed number on the Settings Screen on the Bottom right (you can share it with a screenshot)

  • Player.Log & UserSettings.json

    • Found in: Users\%USERNAME% \AppData\LocalLow\AMPLITUDE Studios\Endless Dungeon
    • This folder is hidden by default. You will need to reveal hidden folders (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files-0320fe58-0117-fd59-6851-9b7f9840fdb2)
  • Crashes
    In case of crashes, there is a specific file that is generated
    • C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\CrashDumps   

      Example: Endless Dungeon.exe.XXXXXX.dmp" (with "XXXXXX" being some random numbers)

    • This folder is hidden by default. You will need to reveal hidden folders (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files-0320fe58-0117-fd59-6851-9b7f9840fdb2)
  • Information about the system you are playing on. This is only relevant if your bug has to do with crashing, artefacts or something. If it's only affecting gameplay, a this isn't necessary. To get this information, the Windows desktop, press the Windows and R keys to open the Run window. In the Open: field of the Run window, type dxdiag. 4. Steps to reproduce


If possible, give us a step by step description of what lead to the issue. A list of steps is preferable!

The clearer and more detailed your steps to reproduce are, the more likely we'll be able to reproduce the issue from scratch.


5. Expected behavior


This section is usually the part you use to describe what you think is supposed to happen and how it differs of the current state of things.
