I've been a Linux user for a few years now, and I'm quite happy with that switch from a Windows based OS. And while I won't switch back any time soon, I won't talk down to anyone for not being a Linux user either. ^^;

With that out of the way, I'm curious to know if there's any consideration for the Vulkan API as an alternative to DirectX. Valve's Steam offers a compatibility layer tool for translating to Vulkan, but to make use of that feature requires some level of technical know-how to enable it. There's literally no way to brick a game using Proton, but if it's not a supported title, then the game is either unplayable or highly unstable and prone to crashing at any point after launch, and that's aside a whole slew of strange behaviors that might occur during gameplay.

Amplitude games run relatively fine for me, but I do sometimes see some very unusal behaviors, or straight up crashes that leave me scratching my head about what happened, if it even was something I did. For example, in ES2, turn processing often takes an aweful long amount of time to conclude when there's an election at the end of the incoming turn and there's nothing I can tweak to prevent that behavior from happening. To my knowledge anyways.

At any rate, to have a natively supported version of EL2 would be awesome for me! I mean, it's fine even if there's no plans for native Linux, I'll enjoy the game and myself all the same.
