Hey everyone,

I'm sure after the big Endless Day surprise we sprung on you last week, with two new expansions up for pre-order at a discount, most of you will want to know more about this mysterious new expansion for Endless Legend. So let's dig right in.

The Urkans

Ancient beasts that have slumbered deep below the surface for centuries, if not millenia, the Urkan’s re-emergence may change the face of Auriga forever. More powerful than any other creature on the planet and virtually immortal, they can nonetheless be enticed by the bounties of the planet, or subdued with enough force, bent to the will of your empire.

Wild Urkan

Over the course of the game, the Urkan will awake from their long slumber one by one. As they do, they will emerge in a neutral region and claim it as their own, preventing all empires from settling in the region. All Urkan are accompanied by a small group of symbiotes called Lice, and will spawn roaming armies of these Lice every now and then. Furthermore, they will not stay in the same region for the whole game, digging back underground and migrating to another neutral region every couple of turns.

Tamed Urkans

If you reach an Urkan with one of your armies, you may attempt to seize control of it. You can do this by offering it a bribe of luxury resources, or you can attack and defeat it in combat. Only neutral Urkans can be bribed, but you can steal control of an Urkan from an enemy empire if you defeat it in battle

As you seize control of an Urkan, you seize control of the region it occupies, and preventing other empires from settling and gathering strategic and luxury resources in that region for you. If the region the Urkan controls does not interest you, you can order the Urkan to instantly migrate to another unclaimed region anywhere on the map. You can also order the Urkan to uproot, transforming it and its Lice into an army that can move and attack freely.

Urkan Training

Once you have gained control of an Urkan you can train them to unlock new abilities. Some of these abilities require you to control only one Urkan, whereas the more powerful abilities require control of two or even all three Urkans simultaneously. Some of these abilities offer strong economic boosts to your cities near a rooted Urkan while penalizing enemy cities, some strengthen all Urkans and Lice under your control, and some grant powerful bonuses to armies in the same region as a roaming Urkan.

Proper use of these powers can swing the balance of power in your favor, but never forget that if your enemy manages to defeat your Urkan, they will steal not only the powerful beast, but the training you invested in it as well.

A boon to your economy, a looming threat to your foes, or a force of devastation: How will you use these savage titans?
