I was wondering what information gets shared when you link a steam account, specifically if it includes any information you do not already know about me through your games, and if any of it is personally identifiable information. Steams privacy policy is rather vague on the matter.

I also assume this is now the only way to get g2g points? when I made this account i think i just inserted the games serial key a few years back.

Hi Zileas,

We try to be very transparent about privacy, especially regarding Steam information.

When you Steam Link your Games2Gether account, we only save:

  • Your Steam ID - So we can check what games of ours you own.
  • Your Steam Username - So we can display it in your private profile, no one except yourself can see it.
  • Your Steam Avatar - Exactly as the Username, you're the only one who can see it.

We use this informations, to check Steam regurlarly, if you own any of our games and/or achievements, so you can unlock Rewards & G2G pts.
We do not store anything else, and if in the future we need to, we'll of course inform you before, and give you the option to refuse.

I hope this answer your concerns on privacy :)
