Army movement bug

Hello everyone.

After update got this bug.

When moving army for longer range, than it has - sometimes this can happen. Army displayed on one tile, but in fact it is on another tile.

Game version: EL without tempest.

I've run into this as well and it's basically rendered the game unplayable for me, as my units constantly path backward over tiles they covered in the previous turn.


Visually the army is in one place, but when I right click and hold to move, the origin for that movement is usually 2 tiles off.

When I get this bug, the backtracking doesn't take any extra movement points, thus it has no negative gameplay effect.

I've been playing a little more and I think this issue is related to the Pathfinder bug mentioned elsewhere on the forum. It seems to calculate the positions incorrectly when accounting for movement through difficult terrain (perhaps not applying the bonus correctly).


Armies without this skill all move just fine for me so far.

I debated about whether to make a new thread because I have seen movement bugs, but with the Morgawr instead of the Allayi. But I think the root cause may be the same (or related). So maybe it will be helpful for the devs to add my report to this thread.


Maybe the issue with Morgawr units is the Amphibious trait (-1 movement, but river tiles only cost 0.25 movement). The most recent instance was when I was trying to move my hero from the sea onto a land tile. The game says I have enough movement points to make it to the land tile in one turn. But when I execute the move, the hero appears to move to the tile but is still in a transport and cannot interact with the village I was going for:

Sometimes a unit's graphic will be a couple tiles off from where it really is. I've also had cases where I make a move that should use up all of a unit's movement points, but then find that (though the unit says 0 movement left) I can move one more hex. (I think I was moving along rivers in at least some of these instances).

This issue has been reproduced and fixed.

Expect the patch to be released soon after the QA has verified the fix.
