Hi,

I make some privateers to take back some fortress on the sea without declare war.

And I have the surprise to discover I gained the control of the fortress by this way. I thought attacking a fortress with an army of privateers will just turn the fortress on neutral.

Is it a bug ?

Known fact. Maybe not a bug but it should be changed. Mercenaries are made to raze city, not conquier. But they can conquier fortress.

It's especially strong if combined with Roving Clans mercenary ability. Because you can conquier fortress of players even if you are not at war, if you privateers are under corsair flag (neutral army).
