A few Inferno bugs

A few bugs I encountered:


- Despite having the Cultural Indoctrinaton tech I wasn't able to assimilate a third minor faction (playing as Kapaku).

- During a Dust Eclipse there's different music. But if you start a battle, the combat music keeps playing until the end of the Eclipse. Mildly annoying.

- Don't know if bug or intended: if I put a Volcanoformer on a tile, I can't put a Golem Camp or a city directly on that tile until the Volcanoformer is done. 



Playing EL version 1.6.2 S3 (64 bit), all expansions, no mods.


Specs:


 AMD Radeon R7, 3.1 Ghz

8 Gb RAM

1. You can do a workaround of the assimilation problem by disabling Big Screen User Interface (OPTIONS > UI) temporarily. The issue is a UI issue with Kapaku and either their Volcanoformer quantity UI element or their Seige Engineering progress bar UI element. The third slot is hidden "under the screen" in Big Screen User Interface mode.


2. Yeah, annoying. You can fix with a quick save/reload.


3. This seems intentional but it could be a bug. You can, after all, drop a Volcanoformer on a city tile or a golem camp once it is completed. However, the same issue arises when you try to queue an extractor and an intensifier on the same resource tile.


Here's a few more bugs:


4. Seemingly random UI displacement in the Altar of Auriga screen. Third Vote Option disappears under screen as all Vote Options become dislaced. It later reappears in the Vote Option section during winter.


5. Empowering Conflux: Lava Flow terrain movement penalty returns back to 2 (instead of 1) when reloading save. Forest and Frozen Spike seem fine.


6. Golem Camp exploitation seems to not collect the happiness bonus from anomalies. I had one set up between a Dragon Tree and an Earth Tower and neither one gave me a happiness bonus (capital city, Kapaku).

Let me organize everything into one post ...


1. Empowering Conflux replaces the Wild Walker 0.5 movement on Forest during Dust Eclipse with 1 movement on Forest during Dust Eclipse.


2. Also encountered a bug where I was supposed to build up a District or City Center to Level 2 for a quest (Power and Prestige) and it triggered before I had a Level 2. A few things that may be noteworthy:

  • I had just constructed an Abbey of Anomalies as my 3rd "District" surrounding the City Center
  • The 2nd "District" was the Altar of Auriga
  • There is a Temple Ruins beside my City Center that may have acted as a "4th District", who knows?

3. Kapaku units do not properly regenerate health when garrisoned in a Golem Camp built on volcanic terrain. 


4. I just had a Geomancer unit disappear.  I got an icon (the one appearing over a Parasite/Rebirth unit) during the battle setup screen on an unretrofitted Geomancer unit and a message in the tooltip that said something along the lines of "Unknown Unit Template".  I saved and reloaded to see if that would fix the issue and the unit disappeared from my army.
