Mykara - costs of resources taming Urkans and pearls (feature or bug?)

update: pearls issue: please ignore!

displaying Taming Urkan costs: should be improved with next patch! (...no bug).

Cat (dev) was not sure about this...so I post it here in the forum.


Issue#1: Is it true that the Mykara have increased costs for pearls (Altar of Auriga) ? (see screenshots)


Or is it any other circumstance? Someone told me that game setup "slow" would increase pearl costs on altar of auriga... but I play at "normal" speed.



Issue#2: The Mykara have increased costs for taming URKANS with lux. resources.

Cannot find this negative trait in the faction description -should be there..right?

Are you confusing "unlock cost" with "build cost"? It costs 15 pearls to unlock the Iceworks-tech, but only 10 to actually build them in a city. Screenshots look normal to me.

Regarding the Urkan taming cost: I noticed that the cost displayed on the army label of the Urkan does not update as you gain more Urkans, so that may have been the cause of the difference you noticed. Taming costs go up for each Urkan you already control, but this cost increase currently shows only in the Urkan Training Screen and the action menu, while the label always shows the base cost.

Ah yes, I improved that label a bit in ELCP (updates with number and Urkans and the an ELCP specific modifier, also has a darker color for better readability). I wonder, is there any other official patch coming? If yes, I can make another bug report post with code solutions.

Oh yes! In fact I missed the difference between unlock" and "build" altar improvement. Thanks! :)

Okay...understood. But this should be more clearer to the players. There are many tricky mechanics in EL over time and least such "main mechanics and modifiers" should be made obvious, I think.

Thanks, I think I will try your ELCP mod in the next match, guess injecting it into the running one is not a good idea ;) p.s. tasty vanilla ice pic ! ;)

Please dont confuse the vanilla balance mod (which is a companion mod for ELCP) with ELCP itself. Also: Vanilla saves are compatible with ELCP (but not the other way around).
