Endless Legend was one the first program I installed on my new SP7. The game crashes on the splash screen. Nothing in the diagnostic or output log files. Setting compatibility to windows 7 doesn't solve it. using -force-opengl makes it worst (very slow loading and black screen before spash screen and crash). I have checked the firewall, updated the driver but still the same result. The same problem occurs with Endless Space 2.Dungeon of the Endless seems to be loading fine (although I haven't played a game yet). I have also seen some reference to a problem with .NET Framework 4.5.1. The solution mentioned there was t oreinstall using the installation program in '_CommonRedist' but that folder doesn't exist (for both EL and ES2).

Apologies if this has been reported already. I couldn't find anything anywhere.

Having the exact same issue with EL and ES2 on my SP7 (i7/16GB). If I use `-force-opengl`, Endless Legend won't even start.

I can launch EL if I opt into the 32-bit beta, but as I recall, this is a fairly memory-intensive game, and constraining to a 32-bit process doesn't sound like a great plan.

I'd be happy to provide the crash logs, just not sure where to send them.

I am encountering the same issue on my Surface Laptop 3. Have you been able to find a solution yet?

Look at the fix in this thread.

Try updating your graphics drivers. For the Surface Pro 7 they are here. For Surface Laptop 3 they are here.

See if you can install Microsoft .NET Framework from here. You can also try installing C++ Redistributables (vcredist). It can be found here: x86 (32 bit OS) x64 (64 bit OS) .

It would be helpful if you could find an error log. On PC they are in C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Endless Legend in a folder with a date for a name.  Check wherever the install directory of EL is on your device.
