I just started (a couple) of new games with Allayi and when I search the indicated ruins for the initial main quest nothing initially happens, I click search again and the results occur as with a normal ruin search but no skyfin. The ruin indicator on the quest box also disappears at this point, and the quest cannot be continued. Has anyone else has this issue. Is it something I am doing wrong?

I'm having the same issue.  I have done the quest plenty of times in the past.  Picked the game back up after a few months off, and now the quest won't complete.  You can search the ruins, and marking disappears, but the quest doesn't complete.

I have had this issue as well you can fix it by reloading the save

You need to use ELCP for this fix until Amplitude does something about these issues.
