I have attempted everything in the workarounds thread to no avail, and have nearly pulled my hair out in frustration. I played this game way back when it launched with no issues beyond the occasional crash, but now I can't launch it without the game crashing on the logo every time. This is my computer information, which has not changed since I last played the game.

OS: Windows 8.1 64-bit
Resolution: 1920x1200
Graphics card: Radeon R9 280x
Game Version: 1.4.4

Output log is attached. I appreciate any help you can offer. I just want to play the game, especially considering I just bought the shifters expansions right before I found out about the crashing :(.

Which version of the .NET framework are you running ? Is it up-to-date (Windows Update) ? Did you try re-installing it ?

Do you have any special characters in your Windows user name ?

.NET framework is up to date I believe (4.6.2). However, I will say (sorry I didn't mention this last night, I was quite frustrated) that none of the .NET framework installations show up one the programs and features list. I am not able to uninstall it as a result. Any thoughts on how I could remove it to try a reinstall?

Try reinstalling Mono from the redist package. It should be located here:



C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Endless Legend\_CommonRedist\DotNet



The game uses version 4.5.1

If Frogsquadron says that EL is based on 4.5.1, then I'd advise on installing either this : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2934520 or this https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2881468



https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh925568(v=vs.110).aspx shows the official way of checking the exact version of your .NET installation(s).

I checked on my machine, and my registry key reads Release 379893, which corresponds to .NET 4.5.2.

EL launches for me and I do not experience any issues. Still, I do not have Shifters installed (boo on me ...).
