Hello,

First want to say I really love the game. I recently purchased the Shadows and Guardians DLC and I love the changes. Sadly, I have actually never finished a game because the client consistently crashes before I can meet any victory condition. Really hope you can help me out because I really want to finish at least one of my games =).

Issue:

- On latest 64 bit version of the game (Shadows, Guardians) I crash around the 40th - 50th turn.

- On latest 32 bit version of the game (Shadows, Guardians) I crash around the 40th - 50th turn.

- In the past on the base game (64 bit), I got to about 100 or so turns and the game crashes.

Specs:

Save Files:

Broken Lords - Turn 45.zip

AutoSave 300.zip (32 bit)

I really hope you can help

Sorry to hear about the issues.

Just to get a few things out of the way :

- Does the game ever crash after shorter sessions (e.g. 10-20 turns) ?

- Do you have any crashes with any other games ?

- Are you using proper cooling for your CPU / GPU ? Did you ever monitor the temperatures ?

Thanks for reaching out!

1. Yes the game does crash on short sessions as well. Usually what happens is I get to turn 40 or so. Then when I reload my file and try to play through it, the game crashes within 1-2 turns.

2. No my other games don't crash. I usually play CIV 5 and Age of Wonders 3 (since my Endless Legend isn't working) and never had any crashing issues.

3. I don't monitor my CPU cooling on a regular basis. The area is well ventilated and I have a good amount of fans there. Something I could look into. Desktop doesn't get overly hot or loud when the game crashes.

(From our troubleshooting thread, since you're running Win10)

If you are encountering issues launching Endless Legend with Win10, right click the game icon, go to Properties and in the Compatibility tab, tick the box "Run this program as admin". In some cases your Documents folder might be read-only, if that is the case be sure to change that setting too!

If the icon on your desktop is just a shortcut, find the Steam installation folder on your computer. For me it is: E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Endless Space (default installation folder on my secondary partition), and select the Endless Space executable.

Also worth a shot: running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7. Same menu as above!

Thanks for reaching out.

So I ran the game as admin and I made my documents folder not be read only.

Here are my repro steps

1. Load this save Broken Lords - Turn 46.zip

2. End Turn

3. Game Crashed here is the log output_log.txt

4. here is the diagnostic Diagnostics (2016'08'16 @0857'06'').html

Let me know if you see anything in the crash file.

Also here is all my other crash logs from my play sessions last year, if you see any pattern:

Did you get a chance to set your game to run in compatibility mode for Windows 7 too? Turns out it might be the more important of the two.
