Ran into this error when attempting to play Endless Legend today. Previously the game worked just fine (last played in May/June).

The game basicly runs fine, but with no audio at all, except in cutscenes, where audio plays just fine.

Attempted numerous things to fix it, including deleting user data, uninstalling game, installing it on other drives, etc.

Also attempted things such as updating sound drivers, changing audio devices, disabling audio devices, etc.

Of note: Same error occurs in Endless Space, and Dungeon of the Endless - but not in the early access of Endless Space 2, which appears to work just fine.

System:

Windows 10 64-bit

Hi,

the log file says this :
19:27:31:877 STACKFmod error reported: ERR_OUTPUT_FORMAT - Soundcard does not support the minimum features needed for this soundsystem (16bit stereo output).
Amplitude.Unity.Audio.AudioManager:ErrorCheck(System.Reflection.ParameterInfo)
Amplitude.Unity.Audio.AudioManager+c__Iterator21:MoveNext()
Amplitude.Coroutine:Run()
Amplitude.Coroutine+c__IteratorA4:MoveNext()
UnityEngine.SetupCoroutine:InvokeMoveNext(System.Reflection.ParameterInfo, System.Reflection.ParameterInfo)

19:27:31:877 STACKFmod error reported: ERR_INITIALIZATION - FMOD was not initialized correctly to support this function.
Amplitude.Unity.Audio.AudioManager:ErrorCheck(System.Reflection.ParameterInfo)
Amplitude.Unity.Audio.AudioManager+c__Iterator21:MoveNext()
Amplitude.Coroutine:Run()
Amplitude.Coroutine+c__IteratorA4:MoveNext()
UnityEngine.SetupCoroutine:InvokeMoveNext(System.Reflection.ParameterInfo, System.Reflection.ParameterInfo)

I think the audio drivers are the culprit.

Could you uninstall your audio drivers, then reboot, have Windows install whatever it can install by itself and finally check your Device Manager? Are there any devices listed which are not OK?
