Forgive me posting directly after my post but I just wanted to express that I am still interested in fixing my issue - if that's possible without changing my system or formatting.

Did your antivirus suggestion and it's the same ;) I did clean boot at some point so I don't think there is any application interference. Will wait for devs maybe to look into my files. Thanks, though. You're a really devoted member of this community.

One more try: temporarily disable your anti-virus (there was another forum colleague who just had issues with Avira for example) and then run EL as "Administrator" ...

I'm pretty sure that there's an issue when EL tries to communicate with Steam to get the locale ... unfortunately, I don't know what exactly :(

Yeah did that too.

Aside from what you mentioned in "diagnostics" file i see that the game doesn't see all my dlc just "endless day". Also in output_log, graphic card mentioned is intel hd when I am forcing use of geforce via nvidia control panel.

I think the devs need to have a look at this.

An exception has been raised while initializing the application managers. I assume that if you go to "Properties" on Endless Legend, then the "Language" tab, it also says "English"?

Did you try the 32-bit version just as a test?

Aw man :(

Did you check the latest log file ? Are you still getting the same "at Amplitude.Unity.Localization.LocalizationManager+<BindServices>" in the stack trace ?

If so ... there's another thing I could guess : maybe it's trying to get you system's locale from Steam.

What language do you have set in Steam -> Settings -> Interface ? Can you set that one to English ?

I suppose I can ;) Will change the region back, then uninstall all and install back.

Edit: Did it, and still the same.

Really sorry to hear that :(

Is there any chance that you can un-install EL, un-install Steam, then re-install both ?

Hello. My issue is simple. I got the game today, installed and when i start it, it goes in window mode through logos of Amplitude, Sega, Iceberg then Endless Legend and it closes. I did everything mentioned in "[Read first] Common issues, guides and solutions" thread. I also browsed forum for similar problems and in many places I saw suggestions to keep restarting steam until it starts so that's what I'm left with. I'm attaching required files:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8l78LjDl3ksU1RfX25KTEFRSlE

I run win 7, 64 bit

nvidia geforce 645m ( I do also have intel hd graphics but I force to use nvidia [although in "output" file it shows intel hd])

res 1366 x 768

Any chance that you can set it to U.S., then reboot and try running the game again?

Although I'm not 100% sure what effect this will have on Steam ...

Hi,

the error message from the attached zip says :

An exception has been raised while initializing the application managers.

System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
at Amplitude.Unity.Localization.LocalizationManager+<BindServices>c__Iterator75.MoveNext () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at Amplitude.Coroutine.Run () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
at Amplitude.Coroutine+<EnumerableRun>c__IteratorA4.MoveNext () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0

I think this is something that the devs need to look at.

What language is your Win7 Enterprise installed in?

What's your system's home location? (you can see that in Control Panel -> Region -> Location)

I might be wrong, but I believe that the game is trying to match your system's localization to one of the languages in "\Steam\SteamApps\common\Endless Legend\Public\Localization"

Thank you for your time anyway, I really appreciate. Will be trying things and waiting for some other suggestions.

Now that you mention it, it isn't there in my installation either. Did a fresh install (on my slow work computer) and it runs (like a slide show). Although my output_log.txt has the failure to load the files as well. Comparing our log against mine, I see that ours are nearly identical. I'm afraid I may have lead you on a wild goose chase here.

My only other thought is to check your windows event logs, especially system and application, to see if there is anything in there that may shed some light on this.

Work computer:

Win7 Enterprise SP1 x64

i7-3770 @ 3.4Ghz

8GB RAM

AMD Radeon HD7470

Well, did a little more digging. The file* it is failing to load is:

E:/Gry/Steam/steamapps/common/Endless Legend/EndlessLegend_Data/Mono/fmod_event_net64.dll

Can you make sure it is there and has appropriate permissions. Also consider using Steam to verify the local files and turn off your Anti-virus (in case it is blocking an "unknown" dll).

*It actually tries loading several variations on that name and path trying to find the needed file.

Looks like it failed to load the .Net Framework. Double check that you ran the step?

Re-install the library .Net Framework 4.5.1

  • You can find the installation program here: /Steam/Steamapps/Common/Endless Legend/_CommonRedist/DotNet/4.5.1
  • Launch a normal game in order to test.
