Issue info

• Issue - Creating and joining a multiplayer game with two other people either will end up (aftering every clicks ready on the game creation screen):
  - one person will be stuck on the loading game data or connecting to server screen
  - two people will join the created game but the third person will be disconnected and after re-joining the game will be fighting the AI who continues to control his empire even after he has joined.
  - Games becomes stuck on "waiting for other" after everyone finishes their turn.

I've scoured the internet trying to find a solution to the weird issues that my friends and I have encountered after desprately trying to get this game to work.

A thing to note is that I have absolutley no issues when playing single player.

Please help me out on this issue as I love this game to bits (on single player) and am dying to make it work properly on multiplayer with my friends!

From the description of your symptoms, it seems that your issues are linked to network problems between you and your friends. I would recommend swapping the game's host, to the player with the most stable connection. I would also recommend playing with wired in Internet connections, because wifi stability can be fairly spotty.

It's a bit of trial and error, but hopefully this will help.

In the end we tried everything we could to try and make it work but to no avail.

We tried chagning the hosts, tried using cables, tried updating driver, frameworks, steam, everything! But just when our hope was at our lowest point and we thought we will just have to try another game... we managed to narrow it down to one of my 3 friends' computers. He said it was high time that he re-installed his windows OS anyway so he re-installed windows 10, installed steam, Endless Legend. 

Then.... we tried a game and BAM it worked absoutley fine with no issues at all. 

So if anyone reads this, if you tried everything else like we did then there's sadly one way that will work.

Now I'm off to go play some lovely multiplayer wooo hoo!!
