From what I can tell this is different from other scenarios I've seen of people getting stuck loading into multiplayer. 

A friend and I both recently bought Endless Legend to play with some other friends of ours. The issue is that he is getting stuck at 'Downloading' when loading into a game. We've tried from a a brand new game and from a game that was a few turns in, but regardless he is getting stuck at the same point. I've included a screenshot of where his loading bar is getting stuck at (this was a screenshot from his computer, he's the player 'Izuluk'). We have also tried having a different player host the game to no avail. We've waited upwards of 20 minutes with him being the only one having issues. Any help would be appreciated as we've run out of ideas ourselves.
