Yesterday I opened steam after a week or 2 I haven't touched and there was an update to endless legend. Since that update the game crashes on startup. What was in that update?

Have you tried right clicking on the game in your Steam Library, selecting properties, and under the 'Local Files" tab, using the "Verify Integrity of Game Files..." tool to try and resolve the issue?

Yes. I even tried to delete and reinstall. Also tried the x32 version and an x32 OS.

Could you please provide the error logs for your problem, as described in the guide to reporting an issue? 

Wish I could, there are no logs :(
