Hello, I saw that Endless Legend had some cool new content out and wanted to see if I could get myself back into it and maybe purchase one or two of the newer expansions. However, I found that as soon as I started the game (either through Steam or the local .exe) it would close itself out to desktop. That is, the company splashes would show (Amplitude, SEGA, Iceberg Interactive), and then the main Endless Legend splash would show, but after remaining on screen for a few seconds, it would inevitably close itself to desktop. After investigating online, I found that this or issues like this have been somewhat common (especially involving Windows 10). I've run through all the suggested fixes I could find, including the troubleshooting thread. This includes trying 32-bit and 64-bit versions, running the .exe as an administrator, running the .exe under Windows 7 or Windows 8 compatibility, ensuring that it was white-listed in my antivirus, ensuring that the game files weren't read-only, command line launch options “-useembedded” or “-useshellexecute”, updated my drivers, verified integrity of the game files, reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 x86 and x64 Redistributables, reinstalling DirectX, as well as full uninstall and reinstall of Endless Legend.

Is this familar to anyone else, and does anyone have any other suggestions of fixes to try?
