Me and my friend are having the exact same issue. We notice that although in the join you see for example hard difficulty once you join the lobby you see something else while friend confirms it is set to the difficulty you saw in the joining screen. So some kind of desync happens when joining the lobby without you being able to force another sync.

This is VERY VERY gamebreaking as no multiplayer is possible since this bug occured.

Could you share the output log, diagnostics, dump file, and other relevant files described in the Reporting an Issue thread so we can look into what's wrong?

Happening to us as well. Never had issues playing MP in EL until today. I start loading into game while he is stuck on the New Game screen with 1 second left on the timer. Top of my world creation screen says I am the only player in the game. then I get stuck on Waiting For Other Players.

Once I End Task on EL, his end loads up the game normally.

Would really like to know what is happening here. The game doesn't crash or anything, just endlessly Waiting for Other Players. I don't believe there is an output log or dmp file for it.
