Having this issue whenever I try a new game, I have tried to disable OneDrive, teh map generation files in the steam local files keeps going back to read only, and even tried turning off my firewall and made sure Endless Legend was whitelisted.
None of these has fixed my problem, any solution?

I could imagine you make use of additional antivirus-software (like Avast, Avira, Bitdefender...) what blocks Endless Legend world generation. This case you should make an exception for Endless Legend folder within your antivirus-software.

guess I have to look trough to see if there are other firewalls and antiviruses that are on here.

I've also seen this caused by cloud-syncing software like OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.
