Hi team,

Just downloaded the mac version on my Mac. Game fatal error at game creation though. Prompts me to either quit the game, or return to the menu (both works fine).

Here is the log. System version is 10.9.4, running on last gen rMBP.

Edit: Fixed, see #11

Hey! I have a similar problem; I'm using a late 2011 model using Mavericks and sporting an HD 3000 graphics card.

I bet it has something to do with the videocard. My HD4000 doesn't like the highest settings.

andM, they'll need your computer specs too.

My graphics card doesn't even like the lowest settings. I really don't want to have to wait to upgrade my laptop just so I can get a better graphics card...

Not saying you should, but I noticed that the built in cards are no where nearly as good as the non-built in ones. I have the HD4000, and it did fine with CIV, but I think this is a much more graphically rich game, and it isn't optimized just yet.

MacBook Pro retina model 11,3 (late 2013), with the dedicated 750M GT, 16 GB Ram and i7 2.3 GHz… basically it's the highest non custom config from last year.

that is unfortunate, I also have a rMBP 15" late 2013 model. I've played a few dozen turns so far with no problems, I haven't changed any graphics settings yet though.

Yeah… so the exact same machine. I tried forcing the integrated or the dedicated, no help. I'm practically sure it has nothing to do with the graphics, from the error log.

However I have a ton of dev packages on my system, so it may not help.

OK Found it.

From the log, the game fails to launch the world generator app, bundled within the .app but in the form of a windows exe…

I tried running the mono framework installer, and it works.

So, guys, try running it, from the game install location (in your Steam Library). By default it will be in

~/Library/Application\ Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Endless\ Legend/MonoFramework-MRE-3.4.0.macos10.xamarin.x86.pkg

Hey! I tried it, and it works! Thanks so much andm. it's still a lot sluggish (Even on the lowest settings) but that's something I'll have to get used to. Thanks so much!
