Odd Combat Behavior

Something very strange is going on with the combat AI. I had a situation come up where an enemy army was assaulting my only city. To get them off of me, I started a new army with the troops in my city. Within 10 sec or so, combat began. My hero wasn't leading the army, but was the city's governor, so came up as part of reinforcements. As the combat progressed, my hero was knocked out of commission, since for whatever reason, the enemy units ignored all the other units in my army (Telsem Warriors and Militia) and concentrated solely on my hero before moving on to other targets. I had enough forces to kill off the opposition, though, and won the battle. However, despite the fact that at least one minimum member of my army was still alive, instead of Last Man Standing kicking in, and leaving my hero alive with 1 hit point, they were put into injured status instead and put into the academy. Was this intentional, or a bug?

I then tried loading a previous autosave, created a new army, and had that same hero lead it. When combat happened with that same enemy army the next turn, instead of attacking the hero exclusively, they ignored the hero entirely, and attacked the rest of my army instead. " My hero didn't, therefore, get knocked out that time, and Last Man Standing was a moot point. Given what happened with the previous combat using the exact same forces, does this make sense? "Curioser and curioser" said the Mad Hatter.

Anyways, I've included a save for the Amplitude folks to play with. Maybe you can solve this conundrum. Oh, and would someone get back to me about my Forum account please? I changed my email in the account, and am not receiving any notices by email about new posts on stuff I wrote, or any other Subscriptions I have. Strange.
